I did this for a w300i and it allows me to switch off the phone pictures and videos without having received payment of the monthly charges for sending data over the phone. It can be used to put mp3s on the phone as well.

BRIEFLY:
This inexpensive wire allows for easy transfer of media files – photos, DRM-free music, videos, etc. between a Sony Ericsson phone and every computer has a USB port .
It is very useful for mobile phone users like me who pay only interested in a “telephone calls only” plan and are not ready, the phone company some extra monthly fee for Internet service.
It is necessary, not because of Sony Ericsson phones support a standard USB interface, so that a normal USB cable will not work.

detailed discussion:
I am not surprised, my wife, Sony Ericsson TM506 came without a USB interface wire. It was a “free” phone and the phone companies wanted to could nickel and dime us forever by their “plans”, and make us pay different monthly fees for the privilege of downloading a series of songs or upload photos or videos we are using the phone’s camera. The Sony Ericsson mobile phones lack a standard USB interface is probably daunting enough to convince most users of it, at the request of the telephone company an extra $ 10 or more per month for “succumbing to Web access. But it need not be so .
Since we are only a phone call that was made this inexpensive wire allows us some additional features from our free phone by enabling us to multimedia files to and from the phone by pressing transfer it to a computer. It’s easy, it requires no software installation and we do not have to pay an extra cent to the telephone company for the privilege.
Positive feedback:
– eliminates the need for the telephone company for an Internet connection to pay
– no software installation required
– File transfer is actually faster
– Media makes it easy to transfer files to and from our computers – all DRM-free files are easy on the phone
– even users who have an Internet plan is the ability to appreciate their phone directly to their computer
concerns:
– minimal computer skills are expected – as demonstrated by the possibility of certain file types to copy or move, they are planning to / from certain folders
Conclusion: recommended, not a Sony Ericsson phone users, with or without the media or the Internet.

Did it not much. Install PC Suite software from Sony Ericsson’s website first. Functions with my w760A.

This cable works fine with the Z750a. If no additional software needed (Windows XP), only in connecting the phone to the computer and the phone switches were opportunities for me to choose. Great product.

I love it when a product is cheap and works well.
I have a Sony Ericsson Z750a perfectly synchronized. I was able to download my 600 + Outlook contacts.
